Fully public events let anyone join instantly and unlock the details right away. Events with join requests are curated by the host: you send a request, the host reviews your profile, and the exact location plus the event chat unlock only after approval.

Every event shows a colored status: green Upcoming means the plan is on, amber In progress means it is happening right now, blue Finished means it already ended, red Cancelled means the host called it off, and gray Expired means it never started.

Open a user's profile to send a friend request. Incoming requests appear in the relevant requests or friends area, where you can accept or decline them.

Verty stops collecting your device location for discovery and deletes the stored discovery location. If you have set a home city, discovery may continue using that city.

Your profile may appear to eligible users aged 16 or older in your nearby area, based on an approximate device location or your home city and their discovery filters. Accounts you have blocked, or that have blocked you, are excluded. Turning off location-based discovery does not by itself hide your profile: your home city may still be used.

Turning off location-based discovery does not by itself hide your profile, because your home city may still be used. You can block a specific user to prevent your profiles from appearing to each other in nearby people.

How do I know if I can trust a host or an attendee?

Check the context Verty gives you before joining: a public profile with hosted and attended event counts, show-up rate, cancellation frequency, community reports over the last 6 months, mutual friends, online status, and whether the event is fully public or request-based. A host with a history of real events is easier to trust, and an event with join requests means the host is filtering who comes too.

How do I stay safe when meeting people from Verty?

Prefer events in public places, especially the first time. Tell a friend where you are going, arrange your own transport, and keep coordination in the event chat so there is a record. If anything feels off, leave, then block or report the account. More tips are on our Safety page.

Open the user's profile or the relevant event context, then use the safety actions to block or report them. Reports help our team review abusive behavior and improve moderation.

Go to your account settings and start the delete account flow. If your app already supports the 30-day recovery window, the account can still be restored during that period before permanent deletion.
